- Endorsed by the Chief-of-Service or Training Director of the respective training centre
- A maximum of two submissions per training centre, from two different trainees
- Orthopaedics-related, original, and not previously published

Abstracts should be submitted via the following designated platform by 4 April 2026 (Saturday), 20:00 HKT. Only submissions meeting the eligibility criteria will be considered for review.

- Written in English and submitted in Word format
- Presented in paragraph form, not exceeding 300 words
- Begin with the project title and author(s)
- Structure the content as Introduction/Background, Methods & Materials, Results, Discussion & Conclusions, as appropriate
- Include the following information at the end of the abstract:
- Trainee’s full name
- Email address
- Contact number
- Training centre
- Name of recommending Chief-of-Service or Training Director
- Name the abstract file with trainee’s full name and abbreviated training centre name (e.g. CHAN Tai Man AHNH)
PRELIMINARY PRESENTATION ROUND
Date: 17 April 2026 (Friday)
Time: 14:00–18:00 HKT
Format: Online (via designated platform)
Shortlisted submissions will be invited to join this round and presenters are required to prepare their own presentation materials. Access details and presentation order will be provided in advance. Each presentation will consist of 6 minutes, followed by a 14-minute discussion with a panel of adjudicators. Participation is recognised as a training activity and is eligible for training points and CME credits.

Venue: Cordis, Hong Kong
Selected presenters may revise their presentations and submit the final presentation materials via designated platform by 30 April 2026. They will present their work in person during the Scientific Paper Presentation Session of the HKCOS Scientific Meeting 2026. Each presentation will comprise of 9 minutes of presentation, followed by a 5-minute discussion. Adjudication will be conducted by a panel including honorary international speakers. Awards will be presented to recognise excellence in trainee research.
